WHERE DO YOU FIND A QUALITY WOLFDOG?
Occasionally,
you will have friends or meet people who own
wolfdogs. Some may be able to refer you to a
breeder, some may not. The reliability of the
reference, regardless of its sincerity, is only
as good as the person is knowledgeable. Someone
with little or no knowledge of the breed doesn't
know what is good or bad. It is always best to
double check with a reputable breed association
such as the U.S. American Wolfdog Association
(USAWA).
If you would like to get information on a quality
breeder in your area, simply contact the USAWA
Registrar and they will be happy to have breeders
contact you. It is possible they may even know of
existing litters that are ready to be placed in
good homes.
If you contact a breeder on your own, do some
double checking just to be sure. A responsible
breeder who is dealing honestly with you has
nothing to hide. If they appear resentful toward
you for checking with the USAWA, something may be
wrong that they don't want you to be aware of.
