Breed Standard - TEMPERAMENT

             This natural breed is intelligent, affectionate and sensitive to the moods of its master. The breed is inquisitive, ever alert, observant of all that surrounds it. The animal should not be aggressive toward humans, some aggression toward other same sex animals is tolerated, although undesirable. Apprehension or aloofness toward strangers, although undesirable, should not be penalized, nor should an animal be penalized for being eager or overly friendly. With his master he is most affectionate and friendly, eager to please and often possessive.

CLASS 1: aggression toward other canines of the opposite gender; extreme apprehension toward only male or only female humans.

CLASS 2: extreme apprehension toward all humans.

CLASS 3: a history of aggression toward humans, biting or attempting to bite without cause.
