                        Hybrids

                          (Canis lupus/[species])

The wolf and dog have been scientifically/taxonomically determined to be of the same species [i.e. Canis lupus]. Interbreeding of variations (races) within species is NOT hybridization. Therefore, there is no such thing as a wolf x dog hybrid.

The term wolf hybrid' is only accurate when used referring to the offspring of two different species, such as a wolf (or dog) x coyote [C. lupus x C. latrans], wolf x Red Wolf [C. lupus x C. rufus], or Coyote x Red Wolf [C. latrans x C. rufus].
